This biggest event of the summer happened to be our grandparents' (father side) Golden Anniversary. Big preparations were made. The gowns, the place, the church, the invitations (which was the thing i also worked on cause I was the one who wrote the names on the invitations ) and just about everything that needs to be done for the much awaited wedding. Of course, all of our cousins and relatives who were form Atlanta came here. It was a tough, tiring, stressful preparation. Especially me. I wrote on the invitations, I created a special surprise movie. I spent almost late overnights trying to make this movie perfect. While doing those things, I tried to entertain myself by talking to my American cousins in "pure English" (Good thing my nose didn't bleed...
). I had so much fun talking to them. I get to relate myself with them.... Turns out I didn't have a hard time coping with them.
The night before the wedding day, I was sleepless trying to convert my movie into a media player type. I spent almost the whole night desperately trying and praying that he movie would convert faster (cause imagine, i'll have to wait 20M+ mins just for a 17-minute movie to convert). I lost hope that I wouldn't be able to show my movie in front of the guests. I may have done something but i wasn't able to finish it. I was in desperation to convert it until one moment, God opened up something for me. While I was doing the process of converting it for the 3rd time, I saw a connection for internet. When I chose that, WOW! THE CONVERSION WAS MUCH FASTER THAn BEFORE!!! So the movie was finally converted. Thank God! That took me about until 4am in the morning yet I was able to sleep at 6 so I wasn't able to get much sleep back then. But what the heck, it was worth it.
May 31st. "The Wedding". This was the day all our hard work will go into a good use. The wedding started at 4:30pm and I think it ended by 6. The reception was really nice that all the guests were really comfortable. That's the time where my movie was shown. I flt so happy and proud that I was able to let my grandparents enjoy their 50 years. After showing my movie, my grandparents were really happy that I made them something like that. Anyway, after the program, we had the "dancing". It was really fun. everyone, including myself, was like doing tango, ballroom dancing, waltz, cha cha and other dance types. It was really fun!!! after that, it was the hip-hop, RNB type so my cousins and I were dancing and dancing (eventhough I had stiletto heels, not caring... ). The day turned out to be well and everything was really good. Eventhough my feet was really hurt, I still had lots of fun and enjoyment during the wedding.
P.S. I'll try to post some pictures as soon as I get them.
